We Have the Specialized Equipment and Advanced Technologies to Meet Any Challenge
The nature of our business requires us to acquire, maintain and update a wide variety of complex and specialized equipment. Coffman Specialties ensures its Project Teams have the correct tools for each job, often partnering with specialized manufacturers to create one-of-a-kind machines for unique situations. Such was the case when CSI teamed with GOMACO to develop a slipform paver capable of lining the All American Canal in California in just two passes. The collaboration resulted in a machine that can slipform projects with different slope angles and widths and pave both sides of a canal in a single pass.
Excavation
CSI is expert at moving earth and rock. Our excavation equipment includes motor graders, excavators, wheel scrapers, wheel loaders, articulated haulers, compactors, dump trucks and side dumps. CSI can tackle any size job efficiently and effectively.
Structural Concrete
CSI’s structural concrete crews use the newest cranes and wheel forklifts available as well as form systems and false work equipment allowing them to construct multiple projects including bridges and retaining walls, simultaneously.
Concrete Paving
Coffman Specialties maintains one of the largest and most complete fleet of concrete paving equipment in the country, including four mobile central mixing plants, seven concrete pavers, four concrete placers, six cure and tine machines, plus all the support equipment necessary. There is no project too big nor too complex for CSI.
Automation/GPS
Unlike many construction firms, CSI employs the latest technologies to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Such tools as GPS and Digital Terrain Modeling are used to create exacting 3-D models of projects resulting in significant time saving, elimination of error and increased productivity. Models can be viewed from any position, angle or distance allowing a highly realistic depiction of finished earthwork before construction begins.
Computer-generated information is fed into specially equipped excavators, dozers and other earth-moving equipment to create precise roadway, structure and canal excavation, from survey to finished grade, exactly as specified on approved plans.
